New Featured Seller
My name is Ruth and I'm from Pittsburgh PA; I work as a special
effects artist and a freelance illustrator but after 12 hours a day on
the computer I just need a break so I do crafting
What made you want to start crafting?
I always liked beading and making things as a kid and I stopped doing
it in college because of time but now I have a bit more time to make
my jewelry and other items and it's very soothing to do
What do you sell?
Earrings and beachy shell hair ornaments at the moment but I have a
massive collection of Fimo clay fantasy horns I'll start selling later
in the summer closer to Halloween.
What makes you different from other sellers?
I make almost all of my jewelry and hair clips using recycled beads
and shells from old necklaces and collections. Most of my jewelry is
also themed for the game player in mind and tends to be styles that
are quite different from what you could buy in the store such as
earrings with glass water drops or single post dangles with various
funky vintage beads.
What advice to you have for other crafters?
Stick to it and keep crafting; even if the items don't sell on Etsy
you still have some awesome gifts for friends
Do you have an items in your store that you love? Tell us about it.
I really love my seashell barrettes. Right now my hair is too short to
wear any of the bigger ones so I'm selling them and hoping that they
get a good home with someone else who loves the beach as much as I do
Tell us about your newest item for sale?
My newest items are two sea shell collector hair barrettes. These
large clips are covered with tiny vintage seashells that were given to
me by the folks at my church. The church had them for sunday school
classes and art projects since the 60s but kids now don't want to play
with shells so they had a massive case of shells in amazing condition
and since they knew I crafted I got them! So now these shells are on
my hair clip making each one a tiny collection all on its own.
Where do you see yourself going with your craft in the future?
I'd like to get into making more fancy jewelry as well as necklaces
and arm cuffs; perhaps getting into that steampunk trend because I
have a box of old vintage keys that I think would be great for
jewelry.

I've finally managed to make a new changing station. Quite the feat with a mobile 7 month old in the house!

This is a changing station for busy moms on the go. Will fit up to 6 diapers and a wipes container. Rolls up into a discreet package that will easily fit into your diaper bag.
Front side of this changing pad is a yellow print with multicolored squares. The inside has a cool red design.
The center of the pad is lined with a soft batting so your child has a soft place to lay no matter where you change him/her! No more changing your baby directly on those changing booths that are full of germs!
I made one of these for my daughter and it is the best thing ever! I recommend that every mom should get one!
Approx 27 1/2" in height and 30" in width
EASY TO CLEAN!! Just throw it into your washing machine!
I am happy to make a custom changing station to fit your color scheme

This is a wonderful set of playful pictures I took in a classroom. My favorite of the four is a picture of a little toy soldier that’s in a shooting position and guarding the American Flag…some of the little boys in the classroom set it up, and I fell in love with it. It probably has a lot to do with the fact that my man is in Iraq
Where do you see yourself going with your craft in the future?
I have had the opportunity to do many sessions with individuals, and I think that that is my FAVORITE thing to do! Mostly it has been friends, but the results are ALWAYS extremely rewarding and I don’t ever see myself quitting.
